Our activity & Background

Our agriculture journey started with growing papaya and cashew nuts in 2018. The initial goal was to access export markets for our crops, however we realized early on that our fellow countrymen grow substantial quantities without proper access to markets. Upon this realization, we have organized our team and worked with regional and international expert teams towards  registering, certifying and marketing farmers associations and their crops. Gradually we have been expanding ever since inception, with enrollment of more farmers groups and associations. We have also been expanding our cashew farms and acquiring land for avocado and cocoa farms for our future expansion programs.

Within Horticultural crops, we are expanded from papaya to various vegetables. In the recent years we have been working closely with Tanzania Horticulture Association (TAHA) as members but we have also been trying to assist with market entry for other members’ crops into the Nordic countries particularly Sweden. TAHA has more than 1,800 farmers as members, mostly small scale farmers, that are growing various Horticultural crops in different regions of Tanzania. We have recently established a relationship with SUGECO, an institution with expertise, exposure and massive land. SUGECO is capable of producing and delivery quality crops in large quantities.

We are also a part of TARUCHINA, a non profit organization for Cashew nuts growers in Lindi where members have 25,000 acres and are expecting to start harvesting by 2023.  The harvest forecast for 2023 is approximately 3,500 ton raw cashew nuts and 770,000 kg processed cashew nuts. This figure is expected to almost double every following year for three years, it is predicted to reach 10,500 tons in 2026 and 14,000 tons in 2027. This anticipated production is exclusively from TARUCHINA members, however there is potential for the output number to grow if nearby farmers around the organization’s farms join the association.

Among the many farmers’ organizations we collaborate with is an association of Avocado farmers in Tanzania. Our relationship with the avokado farmers is built on a balanced share of responsibilities; They cultivate the crops sustainably and we find an export market for their crops, pay them fair prices and deal with logistics of supplying the crops. They grow other horticultural crops such as passion fruits, green beans, sugar snaps, etc. and they are ready to cultivate higher quantities if the demand increases.
