Cocoa
COCOA
We were initially attracted to this crop mainly by the lucrative return promised in exporting the crop as commodity traders from the auctions in Southern Highlands of Tanzania.
These auctions are led by the Cocoa cooperative under Government supervision. We began studying the crop and understood quickly it can be exported as raw beans or semi processed.
Most importantly we learned that Tanzanian cocoa is of very high quality, grown organically in small family farms. Through our research we have identified farms with organic certifications and established a relationship with the farmers so that when we can proceed to add value to this cocoa by purchasing it at fair price and processing.
We believe by doing so we can produce high quality products whilst paying the right price to farmers. There are farmers growing cocoa afar from where auctions are taking place and they can’t easily access the market.
It is our intention and goal to see how we can work with these farmers in the near future in accessing the market and also promote the cocoa crop in Tanzania abroad.
Within our company, we have started arrangements to acquire land and start cultivating own cocoa. We aspire to generate more insight on the crop, our aim is to gradually grow the size of the farm each year and produce quality ecological cocoa.
We believe that the solution forward and our long term goal is to processing and adding value to our and other farmers cocoa. Our goal is to minimize the intermediaries between the out growers and the end consumers.

Counselling

We collaborate with various associations and through our own qualified employees to give counselling and guidance to farmers and youths to conduct good agricultural practices for sustainable agricultural environment. To grow good quality food in a sustainable manner whilst preserving the environment.
Training

We offer training through our qualified agronomists guide and supervise the whole process from nursery preparations, seedling development, farm preparations, farm management, good and proper harvest, crops handling and storage.
